azgovernor.gov: Katie Hobbs repealing the 1864 Arizona abortion ban
Governor Katie Hobbs has just come out in full force, saying abortion will still be a main issue of her re-election campaign.
But wait, didn’t we just enshrine the right to abortion in our Constitution?
Yes, but Republicans don’t act in good faith and love uprooting the will of voters.
Two things Republican lawmakers have already done this session are trying to slash funding for abortion providers and imposing harsher penalties for sending abortion medications through the mail. This is outrageous!
Even though the ballot initiative on abortion passed last year, we still need a reproductive rights champion like Katie Hobbs in the Governor’s Office.
