John,

Our CEO, Kadida Kenner, recently had an op-ed published in the Bucks County Beacon that highlights exactly why our work is so critical right now.

She shared some staggering data about the state of our electorate: Approximately 1.5 million Pennsylvanians who are eligible to vote are not currently registered. The number expands to 2 million when factoring in young folks who turn 18 years old by this November’s election and those who are in danger of being purged from the rolls for inactivity. The unregistered statistic grows each year, and so does the voter registration gap between eligible communities of color and their eligible to vote white counterparts.
One reason why? The Commonwealth is one of the most difficult states in the country to successfully get registered to vote and cast a ballot.

This is the reality that we’re fighting against.

There are far too many people not voting and not making their voices heard. And we’re working to change that. Help support our work to expand the electorate and help our centered communities navigate barriers to making their voices heard by rushing a donation today → ([link removed]

Team NPP
Donations to the New Pennsylvania Project supports our staff’s community engagement efforts including; organizing and hosting town halls, educational webinars, community conversations, and creating digital content, bi-weekly blasts and social media to reach the communities we engage year-round.

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
