August 28, 2019: Sixty-nine percent (69%) of voters nationwide believe the federal government should hire more workers to help speed up the application process for people trying to enter the U.S. legally. A ScottRasmussen.com national survey found that 16% disagree and 15% are not sure.[1]
Eighty-one percent (81%) of Democrats want to speed up the process along with 67% of independent voters and 60% of Republicans.
Bringing on more workers to help process those trying to legally enter the country is supported by 80% of black voters, 76% of Hispanic voters, and 67% of white voters.
Polling over the past year has consistently shown that roughly eight out of 10 voters believe legal immigration is good for the United States. At the same time, roughly eight out of 10 believe that illegal immigration is bad.
