More than 500 people gathered inside a Shadyside church this week to be trained in responding to federal immigration enforcement ([link removed]) in the Pittsburgh area.
Participants learned how to coordinate civilian efforts to witness immigration activity and to support people who are taken into custody ([link removed]) .
The preparations came as President Donald Trump continues to push his enforcement and deportation agenda and tension between ICE and residents in Minneapolis boils over.
