City of Ann Arbor Update: Ann Arbor?s Energy and Water Benchmarking Reaches Compliance Milestone, Launches Public Map

Learn More button - blue The Ann Arbor Energy and Water Benchmarking Ordinance has achieved compliance, surpassing 80%, and a new public map with the data is now launching. This milestone celebrates Ann Arbor’s commitment to understanding energy and water performance for many of the community’s largest commercial and multifamily property owners. Current and future owners, occupants and managers can use the information available on the map to better understand their property’s energy and water efficiency. Passed in 2021 by Ann Arbor City Council, the ordinance requires commercial and multifamily properties 20,000 square feet or larger to report aggregated, whole-property energy and water usage to the city.
