Before the ACA became law in 2010, the uninsured rate for 19 to 25-year-olds was 32%. By 2023, that number dropped to 13%.

All of that progress is now at risk as lawmakers in Washington make policy decisions that affect our daily lives. Make your voice heard. Send an email to your Senators telling them to extend the Affordable Care Act’s enhanced premium subsidies. 

Thanks to Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, enhanced ACA subsidies expired at the end of 2025. As a result, the cost of insurance skyrocketed — pushing millions off their coverage and forcing millions of others to choose between health care and rent.

While the House recently passed a bipartisan bill to extend the ACA’s enhanced premium subsidies, the Senate reached a new agreement that does not include those subsidies.

This means that health care premiums will double, triple, or even quadruple for millions of Americans.

We need to make sure our voices are heard. Email your Senators and demand they support extending ACA subsidies.
