Email from Rep Feenstra In this week's roundup: Celebrating President Trump's first year in office and protecting farmers through passing year-round E-15.     Dear Friend, In this week's roundup: Celebrating President Trump's first year in office and protecting farmers through passing year-round E-15. That and more – remember to follow my Facebook page by clicking here and my Twitter page by clicking here to stay up-to-date throughout the week! CELEBRATING PRESIDENT TRUMP'S HISTORIC FIRST YEAR IN OFFICE! For the past 365 days, President Trump has worked around the clock to Make America Great Again — and he’s kept his promises! The results speak for themselves: Our border is more secure, inflation is down, and the largest tax cut in U.S. history, delivering millions in relief for working families. I’m glad to have worked with the President to secure the border, support our farmers, and deliver the largest tax cuts for working families in U.S. history! STANDING UP FOR FARMERS TO PASS YEAR-ROUND E-15 Since I was elected to Congress, I promised Iowans that I would be the strongest voice for our farmers, biofuels producers, and rural communities. That promise has not wavered, and it's why I'm honored to co-chair the Rural Domestic Energy Council to pass year-round E-15. PROTECTING TAXPAYERS AND BANNING WELFARE RECIPIENTS FROM SENDING MONEY ABROAD The $9-billion fraud scandal in Minnesota is a stark warning to the country that waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars remains a serious and rampant issue. These programs are supposed to be a temporary hand-up for our most vulnerable neighbors, but if someone has enough money to send to foreign countries, they should not be on welfare in the first place. This scandal requires further action, and it is why I introduced legislation to codify an announcement by the Trump administration to ban welfare recipients from sending money abroad. The No American Benefits Abroad Act codifies President Trump’s work to combat fraud while protecting Iowa taxpayers from footing the cost of foreign money transfers. Rep. Feenstra Introduces Bill to Block Welfare Recipients from Sending Money Abroad Rep. Randy Feenstra has introduced legislation aimed at preventing individuals receiving public assistance from wiring money internationally, Read More BIG WIN FOR IOWA FARMERS AND AGRICULTURE MARKETS! USDA projects the Ag Trade Deficit will fall from $43.7 billion to $37 billion in FY2026. This is great news for Iowa farmers. It means more markets for American agriculture. I’m committed to continue working with President Trump to rebuild our markets and reduce the trade deficit left by the Biden administration. ADRESSING SKYROCKETING PREMIUMS AND LOWERING HEALTHCARE COSTS FOR IOWANS The facts are clear: Since Obamacare became law, premiums have skyrocketed. It is my top priority for Iowa that Congress finds solutions to cut premiums and ensure that Americans have quality AND affordable healthcare. I applaud President Trump for standing up for the American people and putting a plan forward to change the status quo. PROTECTING TAXPAYER DOLLARS THROUGH ACCOUNTABILITY AND OVERSIGHT Like many Iowans, I’m disturbed by the recent reports of taxpayer fraud in Minnesota. That’s why I joined my Republicans colleagues on the Ways and Means Committee in urging the IRS to strengthen oversight and accountability. I’ll keep working with President Trump to protect taxpayer dollars and restore trust in our welfare system. PROTECTING CHILDREN FROM CHILD EXPLOITATION AND STRENGTHENING OUR FOSTER CARE SYSTEM As a father of four, it was great to see Paris Hilton on Capitol Hill again advocating for the safety of our kids. We had a productive conversation about strengthening our foster care system, protecting our kids from online exploitation & supporting our families and communities. PROTECTING UNBORN BABIES WITH TURNER SYNDROME FROM ABORTIONS My faith teaches me that every child is created with dignity, purpose, and value. No diagnosis justifies denying a child the right to life. The Protecting Girls with Turner Syndrome Act would reaffirm that unborn children diagnosed with Turner Syndrome deserve the same protection as any other child. I am happy to reintroduce this bill to stand up for the most vulnerable and ensure that these women and girls with Turner Syndrome can go on to enjoy a happy and wonderful life PROTECTING THE RIGHT TO LIFE I am happy to have received an A+ on the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America's 2025 National Pro-Life Scorecard. As a father of four, I believe that every life has a purpose and a reason I will always fight to protect the right to life and ban taxpayer-funded abortions.
