PLANNED PARENTHOOD ACTION FUND
Every day brings some new outrage, and that's no accident. In the year since President Trump was sworn in for a second time, his administration and backers in Congress have moved with horrifying speed to dismantle reproductive freedom, deny patients access to care, and target communities like LGBTQ+ people, immigrants and those with low-income.

They know that destroying is quicker and easier than building. And they hope to do enough damage fast enough to get away with it before any of us have a chance to fight back. Their unpopular agenda will simply become the new normal, and that's that.

Not on our watch. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is monitoring every attack on care, and mobilizing supporters nationwide to defend, restore, and expand reproductive freedom. We're shining a spotlight on the attacks on care in the first year of the Trump-Vance administration — and what they're planning next.

Here are some of their actions that harm patients and degrade our fundamental rights:
  • Signed a law that unconstitutionally "defunds" Planned Parenthood because they want to shut down health centers, block patients from getting health care, and implement a backdoor abortion ban in places where abortion is still legal. And just last week, anti-abortion lawmakers in Congress unveiled their plan to make Planned Parenthood's "defunding" permanent — even though it's not what people want. New polling shows that 69% percent of people oppose Congress extending their "defunding" of Planned Parenthood, including half of people (49%) who strongly oppose it.
  • Reinstated the dangerous global gag rule, gutted international family planning and other reproductive health programs, and tried to incinerate millions of dollars worth of contraception instead of distributing them around the world.
  • Rolled back protections and rights for LGBTQ+ communities and immigrants, including targeted attacks to take away their insurance coverage and access to care.
  • Enacted the largest cuts to Medicaid in the history of the program, which could result in nearly 8 million people becoming uninsured.
  • Advanced an anti-civil rights agenda, including refusing to enforce longstanding anti-discrimination laws and slashing programs that advanced equity for Black people, Latinos, and other communities marginalized by systemic racism.

We know these attacks will continue to escalate. That's why we need you with us. Planned Parenthood will never stop working to get people the care and information they need, and Planned Parenthood Action Fund won't stop fighting until every person is free to make their own decisions about their bodies and futures.

Take a moment to read more on our blog for the complete picture, and please share it far and wide. No matter what happens next, it's good to know you're with us.
