A Record Year for Hoosiers
Dear John,
I was thrilled to begin the week celebrating Indiana University bringing home the national title and capping a perfect 16–0 season! I am proud to report that when I played the IU Fight song to the RNC Midwest caucus this morning, it was met with a huge round of applause and congratulatory screams. There truly has never been a better time to be a Hoosier!
Governor Mike Braun closed the year with a record of measurable results for Hoosiers, marking his first year in office with higher wages, historic growth, and a renewed focus on region-led economic development. 2025 established a clear standard for Republican leadership in Indiana, visible to families keeping more of what they earn, to communities seeing long-planned projects finally break ground, and to taxpayers seeing that an entrepreneurial state government can accomplish more with less.
That is the record we are running on in 2026, and Republican leadership is staying focused on what works: disciplined spending, region-led growth, support for job creators, and policy that puts families, not bureaucracy, first.
As always, thank you for being a part of our team, and please feel free to reach out if there's any way I can be of assistance.
With winter storms moving in, I encourage all Hoosiers to take precautions, stay warm, and look out for one another.
Yours in service,
Lana Keesling, Indiana GOP Chairwoman

Gov. Braun Opts in to New Federal Tax Credit for School Choice Scholarships
Governor Braun announced Indiana is opting into a new federal initiative that will allow Hoosiers to receive tax savings for investing in K-12 scholarships, expanding educational opportunity across the state. This move builds on Indiana’s commitment to universal school choice and ensures more students can access a high-quality education, regardless of income or ZIP code.
"Parents are in charge of their children’s education. As a state, we are prioritizing that through universal school choice and a state tax credit for donations made to scholarship-granting organizations, which helps make a high-quality education accessible and affordable for every Hoosier family. Under President Trump’s leadership, we welcome this increased focus on school choice at the federal level and are ready to leverage this additional federal tax credit to expand opportunities for students and families across our state."
