While some Democrats are busy being told what they shouldn’t say, Summer
Lee is out here saying exactly what our communities have been demanding
for years: ABOLISH ICE. No soft language. No waiting for permission from
the party. Just the truth said out loud and on purpose.
Folks are trying to warn Democrats not to use the words “Abolish ICE,”
calling it “politically lethal.” But that same day, a new poll dropped
showing that even moderates support abolishing ICE by a ten-point margin.
The people are already ahead of the politicians — and of course Summer is
choosing to stand with the people.
[ [link removed] ]This kind of leadership takes courage, and it takes a movement that’s
ready to have her back when the backlash starts. If you believe Summer is
right to say what others are scared to, we’re asking you to chip in today

ICE continues to operate with total impunity — terrorizing families,
kidnapping children, and even killing our neighbors, all funded by our own
tax dollars.
And while Republicans are trying to pour hundreds of millions more into
this lawless agency, Summer is helping lead the charge in the opposite
direction, introducing the Melt ICE Act as a real step toward ending this
harm alongside her colleagues.
Summer Lee is one of the only ones in Congress willing to say this with
her full chest. She has never treated this job as just about protecting
her seat. For her, it’s always been about protecting our people, even when
that comes with political consequences. That’s what being built different
looks like.
