Anyone who's run for office will tell you that summer is a tough time for fundraising. Especially in Minnesota: People are enjoying family time at the lake, and the general election feels far off.
Yet this is a crucial time for our campaign. Our district primary is in less than two weeks, Minnesotans are already casting early ballots, and the general election is less than 100 days away.
I'm doing everything I can in Congress to help guide us through this pandemic. More than two months ago, my House colleagues and I passed legislation that would provide $100 billion for school preparation and $75 billion for national testing and tracing efforts. (That legislation has been sitting on Mitch McConnell's desk for the last two months.)
When fundraising drives like this one go well, it means I can spend more time focused on my work in Congress -- and that's priceless.
