We’re not even a month into 2026, and the stakes are already painfully clear. ICE is tearing families apart and taking innocent lives, millions of Americans are facing skyrocketing health care premiums, and working families are struggling as everyday costs continue to soar. It’s exhausting and frightening — and it’s okay to admit how heavy this moment feels.

But moments like this are also a reminder of why we can’t sit on the sidelines. Our best opportunity to provide a necessary check on the Trump administration is to win back the House and effectively cut his term in half.
