John, it’s Janelle Stelson.

Something you might not know about me is that I love exploring the outdoors with my family. Anyone who has been to just one of our country's 63 magnificent national parks knows they are worth protecting.

The National Park Service is not just in charge of parks, though.

It also manages shipwrecks off our coasts and Great Lakes, including Lake Erie! Pennsylvania also has 19 trails and sites managed by the NPS that contribute $621 million a year to Pennsylvania's economy!

But Scott Perry wants to gut the park system!

He voted to remove $1 billion from the National Park Service budget — cutting its funding in HALF from last year.
