john,

The Trump administration just took a hammer to mental health and addiction services across the country. More than $2 billion in federal grants were cut with no warning.

These weren't abstract programs or line items on a spreadsheet. This funding paid for overdose prevention, naloxone distribution, peer recovery support, and mental healthcare for people in crisis.

For many communities, it was the safety net. But thanks to Trump and his yes-men, overnight, providers were told to shut down services or prepare to close their doors. That means that families already struggling with addiction or mental illness are going to be left with fewer options and nowhere to turn.

At a time when people are asking their government for help, Donald Trump took it away without a second thought. This decision is cruel and reckless. These programs save lives, and cutting them puts people in danger. Communities were finally seeing progress, and now that progress is being ripped apart for absolutely no good reason.

john, mental healthcare and addiction treatment should never be politicized.

People deserve support, compassion, and care when they need it most. If you agree, add your name to condemn these devastating cuts and demand that this funding be restored. >> [link removed]

Thank you,
