Hello John,
Wednesday was a major success starting off with a committee hearing on a bill regarding 3D printed firearms (HB 2320) and finishing with a floor vote on SB 5098 which bans weapons in sensitive places like public parks.
A huge thank you to every one who showed up. We started the day bright and early with the HB 2320 committee hearing. Staff and volunteers were on the road before sunrise, and together we delivered 899 PRO sign-ins, strong in-person support, and an array of testimony from students, survivors, and subject matter experts.
Then, the Senate delivered on a long awaited vote with SB 5098, passing on the floor, 29-20. Senator Valdez continued to be a champion of the movement by delivering remarks underscoring why sensitive places protections matter.
