There are few things I hate more than tracking the weather, but I do know we may be hit hard with a rough ice storm. The Governor has already issued a State of Emergency for Georgia, and I encourage you to pay attention to any of his updates on X https://x.com/GovKemp or follow GEMA at https://x.com/GeorgiaEMAHS. Stay safe! Here are a few updates: |
Budget Week While your Frontline team and many of your legislators have been at the Capitol, no legislative days were used this week. Instead, it was “Budget Week,” a series of hearings regarding the state budget. Passing a budget is the sole constitutional obligation of the General Assembly, and it takes great discernment to determine how to prioritize funding. Please know that your Frontline team remained hard at work throughout the week – meeting with allies and working to advance our legislative agenda. |
A Big Victory for School Choice This week, our Church Ambassador Network Director, Joseph, and I joined Governor Kemp, Lt. Governor Burt Jones, and Speaker Jon Burns for a press conference announcing Georgia’s opt-in to the provision in the Big Beautiful Bill expanding school choice. We are grateful for President Trump and our Georgia leadership for making this possible. Of note: Frontline supports universal school choice. This is a great step, but we’re not done!

Middle Georgia Shows Strong Liberal candidates have either been outperforming – or outright winning – in a series of off-year and special elections throughout our state. This week, they hoped to continue that trend in SD18. Instead, five Republicans running generated over 63% of the vote, with three (Steven McNeel, Eric Wilson, and former Frontline team member and State Rep. Lauren Daniel) garnering the overwhelming majority of those votes. While this is a strong right-leaning district and the Republican share is “as expected,” it is encouraging to see Georgia conservatives standing up to out-of-state money that flooded the district to elect a leftist. Steven McNeel, who finished first among the Republicans, now heads to a runoff election against LeMario Nicholas Brown, whose campaign touted a special appearance from Sen. Josh McLaurin – a FAR Left candidate for Lt. Governor who voted for taxpayer funded gender reassignment surgeries for prisoners. Stay tuned. |
Another Great Week for Church Ambassador Network Our Church Ambassador Network team facilitated more than 20 shepherd-to-shepherd connections this week. If you’d like to encourage your pastor to join our team at the Capitol, please connect him to Joseph D’Angelo at [email protected].

Correction Last week, I mentioned that Rep. Soo Hong had been elected to House Majority Caucus Chair. While I have no doubt she would be stellar in that role, I would never mean to demote Rep. Bruce Williamson, a great conservative and ally who is still in that role. Rep. Hong was elected Majority Caucus Vice Chair to replace outgoing (aka, heading to Congress), Rep. Houston Gaines. I wish I had someone to blame for this mistake, but the fault is entirely mine 😊 |
More news to come next week. God Bless, Cole |
