It’s nice to meet you! If you don’t know me, I’m Julie Fortier, and I’m running to unseat Republican Mike Bost in Illinois’ 12th District.
I’m an Air Force veteran, mom, and cancer researcher who has called Southern Illinois home for over 25 years. I’m running for Congress to bring the same analytical thinking and problem-solving approach I use in my scientific research to tackle the issues that matter most to Illinoisans.
Here’s the thing: I also don’t accept corporate PAC money, because I’m running to represent you – not special interests. Would you support me right now by making a split contribution between my campaign and IDCCA?
IL-12 deserves a representative who’s prepared to tackle our healthcare challenges – not just toe the party line and vote to gut the Affordable Care Act. IL-12 deserves an advocate in their corner who will fight for Social Security and Medicare – not just consistently vote to threaten their funding.
