Eagle Forum is standing for life at the March for Life today! Together, we are raising our voices for the most vulnerable among us – the unborn.
We would like to thank the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate for caring for moms and their babies. Yesterday, the House passed the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act (H.R. 6359), and we expect a vote on this in the Senate next week. Last week, the Senate ensured no taxpayer funding was in appropriations bills.
Additionally, we applaud the Trump administration for taking major actions toward protecting Americans against the dangers of abortion. The National Institutes of Health announced it would no longer fund research on aborted fetal tissue, which will significantly weaken the industry of buying and selling of baby body parts. The Small Business Administration revealed an investigation into the $88 million in federal COVID pandemic loans that Planned Parenthood took. At the same time, the Biden administration turned a blind eye to protecting our taxpayer money against abortions. For similar reasons, the Department of Health and Human Services issued a conscience protection violation against the state of Illinois. Also, the State Department is expanding the Mexico City Policy, barring federally funded organizations and nonmilitary foreign assistance from promoting abortions.
“Our federal government is aligning with our nation’s founding documents in creating policies that allow Americans to have ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,’” stated Eagle Forum President Kris Ullman. “Today is a historic moment, marching with thousands of people and a unified government in celebration of every single life, born and unborn. We are committed to continuing the fight!”
