In case you missed it, here are a few highlights:
☑️ Governor Healey outlined our plan to bring down energy costs, including immediate action to reduce electricity bills by 25 percent and gas bills by 10 percent for every Massachusetts residential utility customer in February and March.
☑️ She raised the bar on what we can achieve to bring down housing costs and keep residents in Massachusetts by nearly doubling the number of middle-income families who can receive homebuyer assistance through MassHousing.
☑️ Fresh off of taking nation-leading action to eliminate prior authorization for many routine and essential services, the Governor announced plans to file new regulations to ban medical debt from being reported to credit agencies.
☑️ The Governor announced that we'll meet our 2026 goal of universal Pre-K funding in all Gateway Cities. Committed to expanding educational opportunities at every age, she pledged to continue growing Early College and Career Innovation Pathways and set a new goal of registering 100,000 new apprentices in fields such as construction, health care, tech, advanced manufacturing and education in 10 years.
☑️ She announced plans to file strict new requirements to protect kids on social media, including requirements for parental consent and age verification and disabling addictive features like continuous scrolling and notifications between certain hours.
Listening to Maura last night made me prouder than ever to work alongside a leader who puts people first.
I don’t need to tell all of you what’s at stake this fall for Massachusetts and beyond. Maura and I are up against a group of MAGA-aligned self-funders who are funneling millions into their campaign coffers to beat us.
We need your help to spread our vision for a better Massachusetts from Pittsfield to Provincetown and everywhere in between. Please amplify Maura’s words by sharing the graphic included in this email across social media. You can also take it one step further by splitting a donation between our campaign and the Massachusetts Democratic Party.
Together, we’re going to ensure Massachusetts moves forward and continues to be a beacon of hope for the rest of the country to follow.
Thanks for all that you do,
Kim
