Today I'm
joining unions, faith leaders, and Minnesotans from across the state to
demand ICE OUT of Minnesota.
ICE has unleashed a wave of chaos and cruelty in our state. There are
simply not enough words to capture the fear they’ve caused in our streets,
churches, schools, and small businesses.
Citizens have been unconstitutionally detained. Legal observers have been
dragged from cars. Renee Good -- our neighbor, a mother, and wife -- was
shot and killed.
But our dollars, our labor, and our voices have power. We can send a
message to the Trump administration and everyone who enables them: Enough
is enough.
The tide is already shifting. Millions of Americans have
seen what is happening in our streets, and they’re standing with us.
Folks from every corner of our country are calling for an end to this
chaos and the complete overhaul of the Department of Homeland Security.
More and more leaders are committing to blocking funding for this
out-of-control agency in the next week.
Now is the moment to stand united. Today, consider pausing your normal
grocery shopping, Costco run, heck even your morning coffee, and instead,
spend time with family, neighbors, and your community to show Minnesota’s
moral heart and power.
