Four years ago, on his first day in office, Trump made good on his promise to try to gut the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Trumpcare, Trump’s alternative, would have raised premiums and left 24 million Americans without coverage. Indivisibles stood alongside other activists across the country, (like ADAPT, Planned Parenthood, Ultraviolet, and the Women's March just to name a few) to save the ACA and the millions of Americans who depend on it for affordable healthcare. Today marks three years since we won the vote in the Senate to stop Trumpcare. Defeating Trumpcare and securing accessible healthcare for all was one of our first major challenges as an organization. Now, in the midst of a global pandemic in which millions are losing their insurance, it feels like we’ve come full circle.  

All of our work has been building towards this moment. Today, July 27, marks 99 days until the general election. Think about it this way: more days have passed since the start of the Iowa caucuses than are left before the election on November 3. With the support of Indivisibles all over the country, our mission has evolved into something bigger than we ever expected in 2016. 

We’ve come a long way from January 2016, and now we’ve only got 99 days until one of our first major milestones as a movement. We’re giving it everything we’ve got to keep the House, take back the Senate, and beat Trump to win the White House. Here to commemorate this crucial moment in our living history is Vice President Joe Biden with a special Windivisible message:

Winning a Democratic trifecta is a big job, and we can’t do it alone. But because of the global pandemic and social distancing guidelines, some of our most tried and true direct voter contact tactics are off the table. COVID-19 has changed how we campaign, but that doesn’t mean we’re backing down. That’s why we’re launching our unified digital program, Windivisible, with our first Windivisible Week of Action. The name ‘Windivisible’ is about winning -- and our success in taking back the House in 2018 shows us that the winds of change have started to blow across the nation.   

All this week, from July 27 to August 2, Indivisibles (like YOU) are coming together to host phonebanks and textbanks to get connected with the voters we need to win big in November. Worried about what to say? How to use our texting tools? Which states to target? We’ve got you covered with plenty of trainings, talking-points, and the most up-to-date strategies to help guide you every step of the way. Here’s how you can get involved:

Finally, your stories breathe life into our movement, so we’ll be releasing a series of videos that feature how critical your work is to our victory in November. Since we can’t always see all of you, let alone all of the amazing things you’re up to, we’re passing the mic for you to record or upload a video with your story here.
