As ICE continues to target and terrorize communities all over Minnesota, protests are being organized across the state because people will not tolerate the actions of this rogue agency. Tim Whitaker and April Ajoy cover one such story that the MAGAverse are screaming about as a supposed attack on religious freedom.
Over the weekend, activists took to Cities Church in St. Paul, interrupting a church service. Why? One of its pastors, David Easterwood, is also a field director for ICE in the region. Tim and April call out the glaring hypocrisy coming from this church, wondering how someone can preach the Word of God and also be a part of ICE.
They also slam the outrage behind a peaceful protest, wondering where these people were when priests were getting pepper sprayed, as well as AG Pam Bondi’s attempts to punish the organizers. And Tim and April also point to the long history behind White Evangelical Churches and how the Southern Baptist Convention has embraced the bigotry and cruelty we’re seeing in Minnesota and across the country today for nearly two centuries.
