The Village of Oswego and the Economic Development Commission are proud to recognize Floral Expressions as the Oswego Economic Development Commission’s Business of the Month for January 2026.
Floral Expressions, co-owned by Terri Platt and her daughter Megan Dell'Aringa, is a full-service florist specializing in weddings, events, funerals, and daily deliveries. The business is known for its modern and unique custom floral designs created by a talented and experienced team.
Founded in November 2001, Floral Expressions has been at 67 Main Street in downtown Oswego since 2009. This year, the business will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
During these 25 years, Floral Expressions has been active in the Oswego community through the Chamber and Downtown Association, sponsoring events and supporting local causes, including seniors in nursing homes.
We congratulate Floral Expressions on being selected as the January 2026 Business of the Month and thank them for their continued dedication to the community.

The Village of Oswego is currently accepting applications for a full-time Graduate Engineer I to join the Engineering Department.
This role is ideal for early-career civil engineers seeking hands-on experience with municipal infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include planning, designing, reviewing and overseeing public and private infrastructure projects, assisting with inspections and construction oversight and ensuring compliance with Village and state standards.
The position offers a salary range of $72,368 to $103,519, depending on qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF), paid time off and professional growth opportunities.

The Township Officials of Illinois (TOI) are offering seven $2,000 scholarships for 2026. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a 500-word essay, recent transcript, and two letters of recommendation, and be prepared for an interview with a Township Official.
