On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump was sworn in for his second term. This week marks one year of his control of the White House and Republican control of the House and Senate and Donald Trump’s inaugural promise to “rapidly bring down costs and prices.”

Over the past year, the reality is that everyday Americans are being crushed by the high and rising cost of living. America is far too expensive. Housing is unaffordable, groceries are expensive, utility bills are rising, health care costs are skyrocketing, and child and elder care is out of reach.
