About the job
As a Junior Project Manager, you will support the Program Manager and Assistant Program Manager by providing construction oversight and field representation for a wide range of planning, design, and construction projects across the State Capitol Campus and other DES-managed facilities. Working collaboratively with senior project managers, client agencies, consultants, and internal DES teams, you will help coordinate and review architectural and engineering designs, manage project schedules, and assist with cost and risk control throughout all project phases. You will apply broad, multi-disciplinary knowledge of construction and engineering principles, ensure compliance with public works laws and applicable codes, and routinely coordinate with building occupants, regulators, and campus partners. In alignment with DES’s LEAN culture, you will actively participate in continuous improvement efforts to deliver efficient, innovative, and customer-focused facility solutions.
