Hi John,
Last week, I delivered my State of the State address with one goal in mind: making life more affordable and protecting Rhode Islanders, no matter what’s coming out of Washington.

Rhode Islanders always have each other’s backs, and that same spirit drives the work ahead.
Last week, I submitted a budget with an Affordability for All agenda that puts $200 million back in Rhode Islanders’ pockets, including:
- Eliminating the state tax on Social Security
- Creating Rhode Island’s first permanent Child Tax Credit
- Rolling back last year’s gas tax increase
- Cutting electric bill fees and delivering major energy savings
- Making the Hope Scholarship permanent
Costs are rising, and families are feeling squeezed. I won’t stand by and let Rhode Islanders get priced out of our way of life.
If you believe Rhode Island’s future should be affordable for all, will you chip in today to help us take this message statewide?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately.
With gratitude,
Dan McKee
Governor of Rhode Island
