In just a few moments, I am going to ask you to make a donation to my campaign. I hope you'll give me a minute to explain why this request is so important, especially today.

As you know, Donald Trump won Wisconsin by less than a percentage point in 2016 — in other words, just a handful of votes. The hard truth is, he could easily squeak by again this November, which brings me to the latest news coming out of our state:

New polling shows the presidential race is down to one point in Wisconsin. This is the second recent poll showing that this race is literally a toss-up.

I don’t want to alarm you, but we could be in for four more years of Trump in the White House if he manages to win our state again.

But I’m optimistic. I know that by working together, we can defeat him. This incredible grassroots team helped me win re-election by double digits (!) in a Trump-won state. Our victory here helped Democrats down the ballot win their races, too.

This November, we have the opportunity — and the responsibility — to do it all again. If we want to stop Trump from securing a second term, we cannot afford to take Wisconsin for granted this year. So, I’m counting on you to help lead Democrats to victory.
