# [#]John – Today, on what would have been the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade , women’s health and reproductive care are still endangered.

Anti-choice extremists are still set on banning safe and effective medication abortion pills, Planned Parenthood lost federal Medicaid funding thanks to the GOP’s unpopular budget bill, and just this month House leadership quietly slashed IVF coverage for military servicemembers.

On top of the patchwork of varying abortion restrictions that exist in a post- Roe America, the health and lives of countless women are on the line.

Without access to safe reproductive care, patients face risk of serious complications and even death. And when it comes down to it, this is a personal decision that should be made between a woman, her doctor, and her family.

Abortion is a matter of healthcare and privacy, and I won’t stop fighting for the freedom to make the best choice for ourselves and our families.

The ultra-conservative super majority on the Supreme Court and anti-choice extremists in Congress are hell-bent on dismantling reproductive freedom. Medication abortion, contraceptives, and more are on the chopping block – but we can still stop them.
