Email from Defend Our Courts John, The first main event for Democrats of the ‘26 election cycle is the Wisconsin Supreme Court race this April. MAGA is looking to bounce back after the brutal butt kicking WI Dems gave them last year and they cannot afford to lose.     This is a chance for Democrats to choke off MAGA’s lifeline in Wisconsin. After last year’s win, Democrats now hold a 4-3 majority on the WI court. With a seat up for grabs again this year, we now have a chance to expand our majority to 5-2. More importantly, a win here would lock down the WI Supreme Court for Democrats until at least 2030, securing a key swing state court for the rest of Trump’s presidency. That’s crucial because Trump has been attempting to seize control of state Supreme Courts, the courts with final say on election laws/results, in key swing states across the country as part of a plot to rig elections in favor of MAGA in 2026 and 2028. Last year, Defend Our Courts helped lead the defense of Pennsylvania's Supreme Court and lockdown a dem majority on that court until 2029. Now, we are taking our winning formula national and Wisconsin is our first major test. We expect MAGA to throw everything they have at this race to keep WI in play while Trump is president. They’ll be spending tens of millions to buy this seat again, and if Democrats are going to stop them we have to start building the warchest to counter them immediately.
