Folks,

Many people don’t know that my mother lived a hard life. Born just before the great depression, she was widowed twice before she turned 40, and raised four children by herself.

No matter how tight our budget, she always found something, even if it was only $20, to support Planned Parenthood. She deeply believed that the worst burden you could place on a young woman was forcing them to have a child that wasn’t planned and that they didn’t want.

Beginning with her teaching, I have supported a woman’s right to choose my entire life.

Fifty-three years ago, the Supreme Court affirmed that women have the right to make their own health care decisions.

Today, we should be celebrating the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Instead, we’re seeing the catastrophic impact of nearly four years since the Supreme Court took away the right of millions of women to make their own reproductive health care decisions.

In the years since Dobbs, we haven’t stopped fighting.

We’ve pushed to repeal the Comstock Act to protect abortion medication access. We’ve introduced the Restoring Essential Healthcare Act to restore funding for Planned Parenthood. We’ve fought to keep Mifepristone legal and accessible so women can get the care they need. We’ve worked to protect easy access to affordable birth control.

Fifty-three years after Roe, we haven't given up the fight for reproductive freedom. Because reproductive rights are non-negotiable. Period.

We’re not going back to the days before women's rights were protected. If you’re with us, I’d appreciate your support today to help us continue the fight to protect and restore the right for women to make their own reproductive health care decisions.

Today and every day, I will fight to protect a woman’s right to choose.

Thanks for standing with me,
