Americans in rural communities are struggling with Donald Trump’s and MAGA Republicans’ extreme policies. Farmers are facing higher costs than ever, and small family farms are buckling from climate change and volatile tariffs. Hospitals are shutting down, forcing the people in these communities to travel further for care and to wait hours in health centers backlogged by a shortage of physicians.

I’ve introduced two bipartisan bills to undo some of the harm House Republicans have caused: the Strong Farms, Strong Future Act and the Prioritizing Rural Hospitals Act to address their most pressing needs.

• Strong Farms, Strong Future Act will improve climate-based conservation incentives, promoting sustainable farming practices by making these options more accessible for farmers by reducing costs.  
• Prioritizing Rural Hospitals Act will provide much-needed support to rural communities by prioritizing funding for health facilities and ensuring USDA resources can be used to renovate, remodel, and equip closed facilities.
