Friends,
Common-sense gun reform is both urgent and crucial to making sure that guns do not end up in the wrong hands.
I’ve fought for gun safety my entire career, including policies like universal background checks, military assault weapon bans, funding for gun violence research, and oversight of gun dealers — and much more. In fact, my track record for addressing the gun violence crisis is why I've been endorsed by organizations like Everytown for Gun Safety and Brady PAC.
So I'm joining Everytown for Gun Safety on a joint action petition to help keep firearms out of the hands of domestic abusers. Will you stand with us and add your name before Thursday's deadline?

More than half of women killed with guns in the U.S. are murdered by their partners, and every month, 53 women are shot and killed by an intimate partner.
Congress needs to close the loopholes that make it easy for domestic abusers and stalkers to get guns without a comprehensive background check. In states that require these checks, 47% fewer women are shot to death by intimate partners.
We only have until Thursday to get 5,000 signatures and show strong public demand for background checks and other critical gun legislation, so we urgently need your help.
Sign the petition now to tell Congress: Support common-sense gun laws to keep firearms out of the hands of domestic abusers and stalkers. ADD YOUR NAME!

Thanks for taking action,
