John—all 50 states allow concealed carry, but states have long held the power to decide who is too dangerous to carry a hidden gun in public—including convicted stalkers.
Today, more than half of all states block convicted stalkers from carrying concealed guns. But under a federal Concealed Carry Mandate, those states would be forced to let convicted stalkers in states that don't block them to carry hidden, loaded guns in public anyway. Just think about how much this would endanger a stalking victim who relocates to a new state with stronger gun laws for their own safety.
TAKE ACTION
House Republicans are pushing to pass this gun lobby-backed bill, which would override state laws and make it easier for dangerous individuals, including convicted stalkers, to carry a concealed gun in states that wouldn't otherwise let them.
Stalkers should never have access to guns. Tell your lawmakers: Don't gut our gun safety laws. Oppose the Concealed Carry Mandate.
