Yesterday, President Trump spoke in Davos at the World Economic Forum. His speech was dangerous, disrespectful, and frankly unhinged. I'm emailing you directly because I believe it is critical for every American to understand the true impact of Donald Trump's recklessness.

For over an hour, Donald Trump rambled on to our European and Canadian allies, doing everything in his power to diminish these critical relationships that have been intact since before I was even born. He thinks he's making America look strong and powerful — but in truth, he's doing the exact opposite. And the American people are left to deal with this fallout directly.

Our key allies are shying away from purchasing American goods, harming our economies back at home. They are visibly angry and frustrated with the Trump administration, and looking to other allies for support, leaving our small businesses and our people in the dust. Americans are struggling to afford basic necessities, are being stripped of their healthcare, and are feeling left behind by their government. Meanwhile, our president is too busy to care — instead putting all his focus into claiming Greenland for himself. Instead of proving America is a leader in the free world, Trump is acting like a bully on a playground, and he should be embarrassed by his actions.

But, this isn't new for Donald Trump. Petty politics and personal vendettas have defined his presidency. His speech yesterday proves just how out of touch he is, both with our allies and with the very people he was elected to represent. It's time for change.
