Today marks the anniversary of the Supreme Court making its landmark decision in Roe v. Wade to protect women’s reproductive freedom in 1973.

Since that historic day, extreme Republicans have fought relentlessly to restrict those freedoms, and in 2022, they rolled back nearly 50 years of progress by striking Roe down, taking away the ability of women to make their own healthcare decisions.

Indiana then became the first state to impose a statewide abortion ban, and other states began to follow suit.

Today is a reminder that we cannot take anything for granted. It also underscores the importance of taking back the House majority.

Donald Trump and extreme Republicans in Congress are pushing for even more restrictions against women’s reproductive freedom, and I need your support, now more than ever, to defend these fundamental rights. I ran for Congress to protect our rights and freedoms — and that includes women’s reproductive healthcare access.
