Hi John,
Last November, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits lapsed for the first time in modern history.
That catastrophic disruption put millions of kids at risk – and reminded us just how many Americans are struggling to afford groceries.
Right now, even with SNAP benefits restored, families are still being squeezed by rising food prices and long drives to the grocery store.
Our work is far from over, John. Will you push Congress to protect nutrition programs like SNAP? [[link removed]]
SPEAK UP FOR SNAP [[link removed]]
SNAP helps 42 million people put food on the table.
Hardworking caregivers. Beloved grandparents. 16 million kids.
But SNAP isn’t the only support system American families rely on. There is also the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), which helps 7 million moms plus their newborns and toddlers.
Investing in our nation’s most effective anti-hunger programs should be a no-brainer. Urge your lawmakers to fully fund SNAP and WIC! [[link removed]]
Thanks for raising your voice,
