Hey there,

Today, I want to take a moment to share more about myself and why I first ran for Congress. Then, when I’m done, I hope you’ll consider making a donation to support my re-election campaign this year.

I grew up in a working-class family. I’m the daughter of teachers and the granddaughter of a police officer. Growing up, my grandfather taught me that you don’t stop working hard until the hard job is done.

That lesson has guided me throughout my life — from earning a college scholarship to study electrical engineering to working at General Motors to running a small business with my husband to serving Oregonians in the State Legislature.

I was proud of the work I was doing for our communities, but with so much going on in Oregon and in DC, I knew there was more work to be done to make life better for Oregonians.

It was actually my mom who first inspired me to run for Congress, saying, "If your generation doesn't stand up and fight, we stand to lose the progress my generation worked for."

Today in Congress, that’s exactly what I’m doing — standing up and fighting for progress. And with Donald Trump undermining our nation’s very foundation every day, it’s clear our fight is far from over.

That’s why I’m running for re-election, and I’m determined to do my part to take back the House and put up guardrails to Trump’s agenda. This is one of the most important House races in the country, and it’s going to take all of us to protect this critical seat. Will you chip in now to defend OR-05, take back the House, and help me continue the fight for a better, brighter future for Oregon?
