Dear John,

Join us next week for a free, inspiring online gardening demonstration. Reconnect with nature and discover how even the smallest outdoor spaces can be transformed into places of growth, colour and life.

Whether you have a balcony, courtyard or compact garden, growing food and flowers is achievable and deeply rewarding. This session will show how to make the most of your space – wherever you live.

Growing and gardening in small urban spaces: webinar and live demonstration. 7pm to 8pm, Thursday 29 January.

I'LL JOIN THE WEBINAR

This session is the first in a new gardening webinar series hosted by our Postcode Gardeners. This UK-wide team of professional gardeners helps communities to restore greenery and wildlife with the support of our friends at The Co-operative Bank.

Next week’s session is hosted by Liz Moxon, Postcode Gardener in Notting Dale, London. Over 60 minutes, Liz will guide you through simple, realistic ways to prepare your outdoor space for the year ahead.

You’ll learn:

  • What you can and can't control when it comes to growing.
  • How to prepare your small space, including useful tools and simple equipment to use.
  • How to grow food and flowers with limited spaces and poor-quality soil.
  • Why understanding your local environment and why timing matters when working with nature.

There’ll also be a live gardening demonstration – bringing some of these new tips and ideas to life. Then there’ll be time for Liz to answer some of your questions.

Expect an encouraging, down-to-earth session full of honest advice and practical inspiration. Renew your confidence to start growing, whatever space you have.
