This is the photo of a good Christian man.
A loving husband of almost 20 years, a supportive father of seven, and a dedicated law enforcement officer.
I’m proud to call former Jal, New Mexico Police Officer Eddie Embly my husband – and I’m urgently asking you to help keep him from spending the next decade in federal prison.
Please, allow me to explain…

In July 2021, my husband responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle at a local truck stop. The driver was disoriented, sweating, unsteady, and acting erratically. And officers had to use a Taser to take him into custody.
My husband had a limited role in the arrest – he helped move the suspect to the patrol car and transported him a short distance to the police station.
Shortly after arriving at the station, the suspect became unresponsive and was pronounced dead. After investigating, the state medical examiner definitively ruled the cause of death as methamphetamine toxicity.
In other words, a meth overdose – a tragedy all too common here in New Mexico.

So imagine our shock when over two years later, the Biden Department of Justice accused Eddie of “failing to intervene” and a “deliberate indifference to medical needs” – and charged him under a federal civil rights statute carrying up to 20 years in prison.
We poured our lifesavings into Eddie’s defense expecting justice would prevail at trial and he’d soon be back on the job. But instead, the government blocked all evidence of the suspect’s meth overdose from the trial.
The jury found Eddie GUILTY – and he faces up to 20 years in prison

Now Eddie will miss our last child’s graduation in May 2026. He won’t get to walk our daughters down the aisle. And he’ll probably miss the birth of our 9th grandchild in July 2026 and future grandchildren that we’ve prayed for since the day our eldest child was born.
With nowhere to turn, I turned to God and prayed like I’ve never prayed before…
And God answered our prayers – in the form of a phone call from Jason Johnson with the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF).
For over 30 years, LELDF has supported hundreds of officers like Eddie who have been wrongly accused or convicted. This organization is run by policing experts like Jason, who reviewed all uses of deadly force for the Baltimore Police Department, Ronald Reagan’s Attorney General Ed Meese, and several retired FBI agents.
And these experts believe in Eddie and have offered to pay for his appeal!
For the first time in months, I see a future with Eddie by my side enjoying our golden years.
But LELDF doesn’t receive taxpayer funding or grants, and large gifts are few and far between.
Instead, LELDF relies on kind-hearted strangers who respect our men and women in blue and want to help cops like Eddie who are unjustly convicted.
Folks, I pray, like you.
Will you help LELDF fight for Eddie by making a tax-deductible donation of $35, $50, $100, or more today?
|
No matter how much you’re able to help, your donation will be put to immediate use helping LELDF support Eddie and a dozen other wrongly accused officers
You see, I didn’t realize until Eddie’s nightmare unfolded that progressive prosecutors across the U.S. are still charging police officers with bogus crimes. I had thought that all ended when President Trump took office in 2016!
But the reality is the prosecutorial war on cops is escalating at an unprecedented rate, and LELDF is currently supporting a record number of officers with at least X other cases expected to go to trial in 2026.
That’s why I’m asking you to help LELDF fund Eddie’s appeal by making an urgent donation today.
The appeal will cost approximately $175,000 – so whether you can give $35, $50, $100, $250, $500 or more – every gift will make a huge difference.
But no matter how much you’re able to send in support of Eddie, please pray for us.
I know firsthand the power of prayer. And I know with LELDF behind us and an army of prayer warriors beside us, Eddie will win his appeal and we can move on with our lives.
From the very bottom of my heart, thank you.
