Hi,
After serving our country for 35 years in the Navy, I was removed from my position by Pete Hegseth without reason.
I spent my entire life in service to this country, always putting the mission and the people above myself. But when I was forced out, I had a choice: go out quietly, or find a way to keep serving.
I’ve always lived by three simple ideals: honor, integrity, and respect. That’s why I’m running for Congress in South Carolina’s first district. If you believe that’s what we need in Washington right now, please consider splitting a donation between my campaign and Eileen Laubacher's.
The day I was removed from my position, I was forced to leave behind my life’s work. I never went back to the Pentagon or wore the uniform again.
But this story isn’t just about me. Throughout the first year of Donald Trump’s second term, every woman serving as a three or four-star admiral in the Navy has been fired, forced out, or reassigned. This wasn’t an isolated incident. It’s a pattern.
When leadership decisions are driven by politics instead of integrity, our families, communities, and nation pay the price.
That’s why I’m running for Congress: to keep serving, to stand up when it’s hardest, and to fight for leadership that puts country over politics every time.
With my deepest respect and gratitude,
Nancy Lacore
Democratic Candidate for Congress
South Carolina’s First District
