Bake some gingerbears!
Bears might be denned up for the winter, but you can still have bears around this season by making these gingerbear cookies! This recipe is a bit of a challenge, so having an adult around to help will make this doable for any kid.

Gingerbears treat instructions
*Ingredients:*
* 1 box of gingerbread cookie mix
* 3 tbsp heavy cream
* 1 pinch of ground ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg
* 1 icing pouch 4 oz white chocolate
* 1 egg
* 1 stick of butter
*Cooking materials:*
* Mixing bowl
* Measuring spoons
* Baking tray
* Small microwave-safe bowl

Step 1) Assemble the ingredients to make your gingerbear cookies.

Step 2) Follow the instructions on your gingerbread box to prepare the dough in a mixing bowl.

Step 3) Fill a small bowl with sugar.

Step 4) Roll ⅔ of the gingerbread dough into 1 inch balls and thoroughly cover in sugar.

Step 5) Roll 1/3 of the gingerbread dough into 1/4 inch balls and thoroughly cover in sugar.

Step 6) Place the large balls on a baking sheet, then place to of the smaller balls on either side fo the top, for ears. Bake these for 12 min at 350°F.

Step 7) While the cookies are in the oven, mix the white choclate, heavy cream, cinammon, nutmeg and ginger in a small bowl. Put the bowl in the microwave to melt the chocolate.

Step 8) Once the cookies come out of the oven, immediately use a measuring spoon to gently press down on the middle of the body, creating a large dimple.

Step 9) Carefully add your chocolate mixture to the center of each cookie, then let stand for 15 minutes.

Step 10) Use the icing to add eyes and a nose. Then enjoy with family and friends!
