Friend, on a recent showing of "The View," Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett said something that really stopped me in my tracks:

I'm deeply grateful for her words – not because this has ever been about praise or credit, but because they speak to something bigger than any one campaign.

When I made the decision to step aside from the Senate race and run for Congress instead, I did it for one simple reason: It was the right thing to do for Texas and for our chances to take back the Senate. 

I've always believed public service means putting people first – even when the choice isn't the easiest. And with multiple strong Democrats in the race, a bruising runoff would have drained resources, divided our coalition, and paved the way for a MAGA loyalist to win in Texas again. 

Now, I'm running to represent Texas' 33rd Congressional District – my home and a district that Trump and Republicans have racially gerrymandered to cling to power. And if you believe, like Rep.
