Manny's
3092 16th St (16th and Valencia)
San Francisco, CA 94103
San Francisco is facing real challenges around housing, infrastructure, transit, and city finances. Many of these issues share a common root: development patterns that are expensive to maintain and hard to adapt over time.
Join Strong Towns, the Strong Towns San Francisco Local Conversation, and San Francisco YIMBY for a casual meetup focused on the underlying financial condition of San Francisco and how decades of suburban-style development have shaped today’s housing and budget debates.
Norm Van Eeden Petersman from Strong Towns will give a short, San Francisco–specific talk, followed by open discussion and shared learning across movements working toward a more abundant, resilient city.
Whether you come from YIMBY advocacy, local organizing, or simple curiosity about how cities really function, this is a space to connect ideas and people.
No tickets or signups needed, this is a free event and the venue has a lot of nearby Muni lines plus a BART station a block away. We hope to see you there and please feel free to bring along a friend who is interested in housing, transit, infrastructure, urban design, or city finances.
After the event, anyone who wants to continue the conversation is welcome to walk over to Standard Deviant Brewing (14th St). Look for the Strong Towns shirt.
