Team,

You may have seen our campaign slogan: “Let’s fix this.”

I want to tell you exactly why I chose those words.

I didn’t pick them because they sound clever. I picked them because they reflect what I hear from the people of Long Island and Queens.

People aren’t asking for perfection. They’re asking for progress. They’re frustrated that the same problems keep getting talked about, but not solved.

The cost of living is too high.
The immigration system is broken.
Health care is too expensive.
Congress spends too much time fighting and not enough time getting things done.

When people talk to me, they don’t say “make a speech about it.” They say, “Why can’t you just fix this?”

That’s how I’ve always approached public service. As a job where you’re supposed to roll up your sleeves, work with people you don’t always agree with, and actually deliver results.

“Let’s fix this” means being willing to work across party lines — and being willing to push back when policies hurt the people I represent. It means focusing on common sense instead of extremes.

That approach is why I can win in a district that doesn’t vote one way all the time. This race is always competitive, and outside groups would love to replace me with someone who just falls in line.

If you believe our politics need less noise and more getting things done, I hope you’ll stand with me.

If you’re able, please consider chipping in to help me keep doing this work and keep fighting for Long Island and Queens. [[link removed]]
