Canada has what the world wants, and the values to which many others aspire. We are no longer relying on just the strength of our values, but also on the value of our strength.
Have you seen this yet, friend?
Yesterday, Mark Carney delivered a message to Canadians – and to the world – about Canada’s path at this turning point for our country.
“The powerful have their power. But we have something too – the capacity to stop pretending, to name reality, to build our strength at home, and to act together. That is Canada’s path. We choose it openly and confidently.” – Mark Carney
As Mark Carney said, we are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition, and we have the capacity to build a world that embodies our values, like respect for human rights, sustainable development, solidarity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of states.
Canada has what the world wants, and the values to which many others aspire. We are no longer relying on just the strength of our values, but also on the value of our strength.
That’s why our new Liberal government is taking decisive action, including cutting taxes for the middle class, removing federal barriers to interprovincial trade, diversifying our partnerships abroad, supporting our workers and strategic industries, and more.
Together, we choose to build a future that is better, stronger, and more just.
