This year marked the five year anniversary of the January 6th attack on our nation’s Capitol.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert was not a bystander, she played a key role in setting the stage for the attack. In the days leading up to the insurrection, she led groups of MAGA militia on “tours” of the Capitol, pointing out entrances and security weak points.

Boebert never faced accountability. She even voted against honoring the brave Capitol Police officers. And later, she mocked a group of Jewish visitors in the Capitol, asking them if they were “doing reconnaissance” — a callback to how the media framed what she did in the leadup to Jan. 6.

In 2022, while walking through the House of Representatives, Lauren Boebert encountered a large group of Jewish tourists that included Rabbis and Orthodox Jews with traditional beards and yarmulkes. She came up to the group and asked them if they were “doing reconnaissance.”

This behavior isn’t new. Boebert and her allies thrive on spreading hate and conspiracies especially about Jews. Take for instance the conspiracy propagated by Boebert co-conspirator Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene that “Jewish space lasers” were causing wildfires across America.

Accusing Jews of conducting recon tours and spying on the Capitol is par for the course for Boebert. In her five years on Capitol hill, her callous hate fueled speech has alienated Palestinians, Jews, Muslims, the disabled, Ranchers, the list goes on and on.

This behavior caught up to her and forced her to flee her old district where her constituents had turned against her. Now, the constituents in her new district are turning on her too and she is more vulnerable than ever.

Boebert is only in Congress because of 546 votes. In 2024, as her Democratic opponent, labor leader Trisha Calvarese had the best performance a Democrat has ever had in this district, overperforming Kamala Harris by 6 pts as Boebert underperformed Trump in every single county.
