This week, I stood outside the Whipple building — the ICE headquarters in Minnesota — shoulder to shoulder with people, including Attorney General Keith Ellison, who are tired of watching our government abuse its power and shred the Constitution in the process.
Across the country, ICE is being used as a blunt instrument of political intimidation and violence. Communities are occupied. People are disappearing. Constitutional rights are treated like suggestions.
And too many politicians are responding the same way they always do — with silence, vague statements, or careful hedging meant not to upset anyone with power.
Some establishment figures, like my primary opponent, are even suggesting that we give ICE more taxpayer dollars to train them “better.”
In short, no real solutions.
John, when federal agencies are being weaponized against our own people, someone has to draw a line. Someone has to say plainly what this is, and what must change.
That’s why I’ve said it clearly: Abolish ICE.
Not reform. Definitely not more funding.
Abolish it, and replace it with a system that respects due process, human dignity, and the Constitution.
I’m the only candidate in this race willing to say the obvious out loud.
When you take a stand against powerful interests who prefer silence, they don’t hesitate to fight back.
That means whether we win — and whether Michigan has a Senator willing to stand up when it actually matters — comes down to grassroots support.
