Not so long ago, online treatment services were something of a futuristic goal for most behavioral health providers. But the COVID-19 pandemic swiftly turned that “someday” into today. Join clinical director Lydia Burr of Hazelden Betty Ford as she discusses the organization’s expedited and massive pivot in providing telehealth outpatient services for substance use and mental health disorders. With a focus on the therapeutic implications of online treatment for addiction, Burr will examine patient care and engagement, fellowship and rapport, and staff resiliency. She will also look ahead to emerging addiction treatment options in a post COVID-19 landscape.
