Last Thursday, 800 people joined our Ready to Run virtual rally. A lot of them came in unsure about what’s happening in this country and uncertain if running for local office was really for them. Maybe it was for someone with more money, more time, more connections.

But by the time they signed off, more people were committed to running than when they logged on. They went from overwhelmed to empowered. From "maybe someday" to "I'm doing this."

That shift is the hardest part of our work, and in a single Zoom room on a random Thursday in January, it happened hundreds of times — because we showed them they're not in this alone.

We’re sending them state-by-state filing guides with direct links to everything they need to get on the ballot. We’re connecting them to partners who provide training, strategic support, and on-the-ground help tailored to their state and background. We’re making sure no one hits a wall and stops.

The next few weeks are critical. This is when candidates either move forward or let doubt slip in.
