And with those pesky bone spurs, no less!

French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney pulled no punches in their scathing rebuke of Donald Trump's destructive and destabilizing imperial agenda while speaking at this year's World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. "We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition," Carney said. "You cannot live within the lie of mutual benefit through integration when integration becomes the source of your subordination," he continued.

And while Macron and Carney certainly said all the right things, actions unequivocally speak louder than words, particularly when it comes to catching the fleeting attention of America's wannabe dictator. Donald Trump has proven time and time again that he will never do the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do. He is the archetypal bully, and it's going to take a whole lot more than lofty rhetoric to actually rein him in.

No biggie. Just the president of the United States blurting out state secrets on national TV, bragging about secret sonic weapons that "nobody else knows about." Welp, they do now! With all the restraint of an unattended toddler sitting in front of an open cookie jar, Trump continued spilling the beans: "And, I say it's probably good not to talk about it, but we have some amazing weapons."

You will not be surprised to learn that other governments are paying attention. Russia, for example, has demanded that the United States gives more information about the device, which allegedly left soldiers bleeding from the nose and vomiting blood as they struggled to stand. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesperson, says that Moscow has special services at work which have been tasked with obtaining more information about Trump’s remarks. Keep up the good work, Mr. President!

Fox News segment blows up after rising Democratic star accuses Sean Hannity of hanging out with "pedophiles and perverts" at Mar-a-Lago
Last night's episode of Hannity almost went full WWE Raw after Tennessee state Rep. Justin Jones brushed aside the MAGA mouthpiece's gotcha questions and commandeered the interview to speak directly to the bloward's audience instead. "To your viewers: this man wants you to be afraid, he wants you to be fearful of your immigrant neighbors because he wants to protect the billionaires who keep you from having healthcare, letting farms close. He does not care about crime, he hangs out with pedophiles and criminals in Mar-a-Lago. He does not care about going after rapists. He cares about keeping you fearful to control you because he wants to distract you from the real enemy, which are the corporate CEOs who are screwing you over."

After Hannity asked Jones whether he could "name a single victim of crime in your state by illegal immigrants," Jones shot back, "You wanna go through a list? Go through the list of the pedophiles and perverts you hang out with at Mar-a-Lago. Go through that list. You get paid $45 million a year to lie to the American people. You should be ashamed of yourself, and I'm gonna pray for you that you lay down this burden and these lies, Sean. Shame on you, my brother. God have mercy on you." In all seriousness, hats off to whomever booked Jones on the show last night. Please have him back as often as you like!

Trump tries to keep second set of damning files secret forever
For a fella who's gone waaay out of his way to destroy former special counsel Jack Smith's reputation and repeatedly declare his investigations nothing more than a "Democrat hoax," Trump sure seems scared shitless about any further documents from said investigations being made public. America's wannabe dictator filed a new motion in court to stop his own Justice Department from releasing a whole new set of files pertaining to his failed attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election and upend democracy.

The first volume of the report was filed on Jan.7, 2025, less than two weeks before Trump’s second presidential inauguration. It focused on the issue of potential election obstruction, while the second, as-yet-unreleased volume, focuses on the handling of classified government documents.

Smith, who resigned three days after filing his initial report last January, has maintained that he had "proof beyond a reasonable doubt" that Trump attempted to overturn the results of the 2020 election and hid classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort. In a deposition released last month by the House Judiciary Committee, Smith asserted that his prosecutors “developed powerful evidence that showed that President Trump willfully retained highly classified documents after he left office” in 2021, storing them in a bathroom and ballroom at Mar-a-Lago.

A recent fundraising email from Team Fascism™ pitched repealing the 14th Amendment, blithely asking "ONLY AMERICAN CITIZENS" if Trump should "END BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP." In typical fashion, the MAGA cult leader's pitch is cartoonishly simplistic. America's wannabe dictator cannot just kill off birthright citizenship on his own. Doing so would require either a constitutional amendment or a dramatic reversal of Supreme Court precedent, neither of which can be accomplished by one of Donald's performative executive actions. But then, that's not really the point. Stoking the MAGA base's xenophobic fears to normalize their radical, nativist agenda most certainly is.

Trump-appointed prosecutor who oversaw botched indictments targeting the president's foes is leaving post
Lindsey Halligan, the former insurance attorney hastily appointed by Donald Trump's DOJ last year to pursue vindictive prosecutions against the wannabe dictator's political adversaries, is officially out. The move brings an end to a brief but tumultuous tenure. Trump tapped Halligan, a White House aide who had served as his personal lawyer but had no prior experience as a federal prosecutor, to lead one of the Justice Department’s most important and prestigious offices on an interim basis.

A judge's ruling two months ago declared Halligan's appointment illegal, meaning the sketchy indictments she'd secured at Trump’s urging against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James had to be tossed out. Oops. Halligan now joins fellow former Trump personal attorney and servile loyalist Alina Habba on the outside looking in. Habba resigned from her interim post as the DOJ's top prosecutor in New Jersey after an appeals court said she, too, had been serving in her position unlawfully. Bye, Felicias!

Greenland Reddit moderator castigates Americans bombarding their online community with apologies
The moderator of Reddit’s Greenland community page has a pointed message for American users desperately trying to distance themselves from Donald Trump's imperial death march. In a scathing post on r/greenland, the Reddit user Sapotis said the page is getting at least 10 posts a day from Americans "apologizing and saying things like they didn’t vote for Trump or don’t support his policies."

Rather than suggest that these long-suffering Americans have nothing to apologize for with regard to Trump’s deranged demands to take over Greenland, the mod gave a brutal assessment of the United States' tattered reputation across the globe. "To us, your country is a single entity on the world stage, and it’s threatening its allies. Think about how you view other countries. For example, Russian opposition doesn’t change what Russia does, because that’s their domestic politics. The same thing applies to the US too, except you had the power to choose your president." Sapotis suggested that instead of going to a Reddit page "nonstop to apologize on behalf of your country for your constant need for sympathy," Americans should switch their focus to "actually changing something while you still can."

"I was going to call it the Gulf of Trump, but I thought I would be killed if I did that," the vainglorious nincompoop-in-chief said out loud during an eye-popping White House press briefing on Tuesday. "I wanted to do it, I wanted to. My people worked so hard — 'Sir, I don't think it'll look too good,'" Trump said, mocking his own staff. "'I'm telling you, it’s a good thing,' he responded, literally re-enacting the conversation in front of the White House press pool. "No, but I decided not to do that."
